Prelim General Studies Paper - 1
This exam is designed to assess a candidate’s general awareness across various subjects, including Indian Polity, Geography, History, Indian Economy, Science and Technology, Environment and Ecology, International Relations, and related topics.
- Current events of national and international significance.
- Indian history and the national movements of India.
- Geography of India & the entire world, which includes social, economic & physical aspects.
- Indian Polity and Governance, covering the Constitution, political system, Panchayati Raj, public policy, and rights-related issues.
- Economic and Social Development, with emphasis on sustainable development, poverty alleviation, social inclusion, demographic trends, and initiatives in the social sector.
- General issues related to Environmental Ecology, Biodiversity, and Climate Change – without requiring subject-specific expertise.
- General Science
